On June 16th,2013, Annual Meeting of IIAS in 2013 held in the capital of Manama. The main topic of this year is “the Future of Public Administration: Professionalism and Leadership”. Hundreds of experts and scholars, government officials in relevat countries, representatives of the UN, the Gulf States Cooperation Organization and other international organizations and institutions had discussions of 3 parts: “future risks and strategies”，“leadership for the future”，“innovative service delivery for the future”. Associate Professor Yang Yifan is invited to attend the conference, and give a speech about a research report in part 2 entitled“Risk-management aspects and financial governance of public pension system in aging economy”,which caused a strong reaction.

On 14th -16th June 2013, Korea Policy Studies Association (KAPS) held 2013 Summer International Annual Meeting in Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. The theme of the meeting was“Government Transition and Policy Change”. More than a hundred native South Korea’s and more than twenty overseas’ experts and scholars were invited to participant it. Associate Professor Yang Yifan was invited as a minority guests from overseas to participate and made an theme report to the conference, which entitled“Why National-level Poverty-Stricken Counties in China covet the title?-An Empirical Analysis and Reflections on Policy Change”. Then he makd a discussion about it with some experts in depth.

On 24th -26th August 2013, as the theme of "Social security for sustainable development" , the Ninth International Forum on Social Security held in Zhejiang University, China. Experts and scholars, more than 270 people, from Japan, Korea, Europe, America, Australia, and China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, expand a full discussion on the old-age security, health care, job security, social welfare, social assistance and elderly care and social security related fields. At the same time, the 2ND National Social Security teaching seminars were held. The participants carried out exchange of experiences on how to strengthen the social security discipline construction and personnel training. Associate Professor Yang Yifan was invited to attend the two meetings as young scholars of "China Social Security Forum 30" , and made a report entitled "Pension reform choices in the background of ageing society: with an initial CGE model", at the youth roundtable conferences in international forums, which received attentions from several top international scholars.
