Chen Jiahong, professor and doctor, was admitted to Southwest Jiaotong University in 1983. He was selected to study in Southwest Normal University (Southwest University) in 1984. He graduated and stayed in the University in 1987. He studied in Southwest University of Political Science and Law in 1995, and was awarded master of law and doctor of management degrees in 2000 and 2009. He is now the head of the Master of Laws program, the leader of economic law discipline, and a Supervisor of master candidates. His main research orientations are: intellectual property law, economic law. He has successively published more than 30 academic articles in CSSCI or Core journals and other important journals such asIntellectual Property,Studies in Law and Business,Science & Technology Progress and Policy,Higher Education Engineering, etc.; he has presided over and completed 7 national, provincial and ministerial-level philosophy and social science fund projects; published 8 monographs and textbooks such as “Theoretical and Empirical Research on Enterprise Internalization of Patent System”; won a Third Prize of Sichuan Province’s 10th Excellent Achievements in Philosophy and Social Sciences, a Second Prize of Classroom Teaching by the Ministry of Railways, a Second Prize of Textbooks of Southwest Jiaotong University, etc., and he is the person in charge of the university-level Excellent Course “Intellectual Property Law”.
He is now a Council Member of China Universities Intellectual Property Research Association, Vice Chairman of Academic Committee of Sichuan Intellectual Property Research Association, Vice President of Sichuan Market Economy Law Application Association, Standing Council Member of Sichuan Administrative Law Association, People’s Mediator of Sichuan Province Higher People’s Court, and an arbitrator of Chengdu Arbitration Commission. He has been a practicing lawyer since 1989 and was once rendered legal lectures at the fifth meeting of the Standing Committee of the 11th Sichuan Provincial People’s Congress, for enterprises affiliated to Sichuan State-owned Assets Management Committee, successively served as legal adviser to provincial and municipal government departments, universities and listed companies, acting as attorney in many civil, commercial and economic litigation cases.
